Two arraigned for alleged cult membership, firearm possession

Two men, Ezekiel Okikiola, 28, and Shola Famuyiwa, 31, were connected Thursday arraigned earlier an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for alleged cult rank and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The defendants look a three-count complaint bordering connected conspiracy, belonging to an unlawful society, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

They were arraigned earlier Magistrate L. A. Owolabi.

The Prosecutor, SP Josephine Ikhayere, told the tribunal that the defendants and others present astatine ample committed the offences connected Sept. 26 astatine astir 11:30 p.m.

Ikhayere said the offences occurred on College Road, Ogba, successful Lagos State.

According to the prosecution, the defendants conspired to beryllium to a proscribed nine known arsenic “Aiye Confraternity.”
