Police disburse N46.9m to 39 deceased officers’ families in A’Ibom

The Police Command successful Akwa Ibom has presented N46.9m cheques to 39 families of Police officers who died successful the enactment of work successful the state.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Azare, presented the cheques successful Ikot Akpan-Abia successful Uyo connected Wednesday.

“In a determination to enactment the families of fallen constabulary officers and recognise the dedication of its personnel, the Akwa Police Command successful Akwa Ibom, connected behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, disbursed a full of N46,995 cardinal successful payment schemes and promoted officers,” Azare said.

He presented the cheques connected behalf of the IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, nether the Force’s Family Welfare and Group Life Assurance Scheme to the families of constabulary officers who died successful the enactment of duty.

Azare commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP, for the initiative.

He noted that the funds would service arsenic a captious enactment strategy for the families and besides show that the Nigeria Police Force has not forgotten the sacrifices of their loved ones.
