The Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Adolphus Wabara, has questioned the legitimacy of Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State to stay successful bureau pursuing his resignation from the PDP and declaration of being “partyless.”

Wabara, a erstwhile Senate President, described the governor’s enactment arsenic unconstitutional, arguing that Diri had automatically disqualified himself from continuing successful bureau aft abandoning the enactment that gave him the mandate.

He stated that since the Nigerian Constitution does not admit autarkic candidacy, immoderate elected authoritative who leaves the level connected which they were elected should besides vacate their office.

According to him, “There is nary authorities successful Bayelsa State. There’s nary ideology successful Bayelsa State. Our Constitution does not accommodate autarkic candidacy.
