A 50-year-old man, Olajide Bambe, connected Monday appeared earlier an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly assaulting an authoritative of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

Bambe, who resides successful Lagos, is facing a two-count complaint of battle and breach of peace.

The prosecutor, SP Josephine Ikayere, told the tribunal that the suspect committed the offences connected Aug. 11, 2025, astatine Berger Expressway, outward Lagos.

Ikayere alleged that the suspect assaulted Dare Medahunsi, a LASTMA serviceman attached to Ojodu Berger Zone, by punching him successful the tummy portion connected duty.

He added that the suspect besides obstructed the serviceman from performing his lawful duty, thereby causing breach of peace.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 172 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Mr Lateef Owolabi, granted the suspect bail successful the sum of N300,000 with 2 sureties successful similar sum.

The lawsuit was adjourned until Sept. 24, for mention.
