Buju Explains Why He Left Burna Boy’s Spaceship Collective Label

Daniel Benson, also known as Buju, has addressed the reason behind his departure from Burna Boy’s Spaceship Collective.

Buju was formerly signed to Burna Boy’s Spaceship Collective label for a year, during which time he released some music.

During his brief time at the label, he collaborated with Burna Boy, Wizkid, Zlatan, and a few more musicians.

He’s now on a mission to build a name for himself, aiming for hit songs and tremendous chart success to reach the pinnacle of his profession.

Buju was asked about his decision to leave the label in an interview with Kojo Manuel on Y107.9FM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe show.

In his words:

OVERTAKEN!! Made In Lagos Is Now Bigger Than “Twice As Tall” And “A Better Time” Combine – DO YOU AGREE?

Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” album has been making rounds in the global world of music getting massive streams

Just last year when the project was released after Burna Boy’s Grammy award-winning album”Twice As Tall” which happens to be the best project of 2020.

It’s now clear to us that MIL has been organically rising above so many albums as the chart can attest.

Maybe Tems or not, the album with no doubt has been a penetration to the most acknowledgeable award, the Grammy itself.

As at this moment, MIL remains the only album enjoying relevancy as “A Better Time” by Davido is nowhere to be found, even “Twice As Tall” is struggling to compete with Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos”.

The turnaround is so intense, no one ever thought Wizkid would pop to this level with the album.

Recall that MIL got so many critics after release, logically listeners who criticize the project have found it as a nonstop playlist. It’s safe to say it’s a ‘no bad song’ album.

Wizkid Ft. Buju “Mood” vs Burna Boy Ft. Don Jazzy “Question” – Which Would You Rather Put On Repeat For A Whole Week?

Afro-beat is getting better and bigger by the day, all thanks to all artistes out there doing good music.

Some biggest names in the music game are not even resting on this Afro-beat matter. They kept doing interesting Afro-beat jams that are capable of spreading across the world like virus.

Wizkid and Burna Boy are putting their very best this year to live up to their level and the existing good records, awards and recognition they both possess in the music industry.

Wizkid on his “Made In Lagos Deluxe” featured Buju on the song titled “Mood“, the song bangs so hard that I am beginning to have a feeling that it’s going to fly as high as “Essence” on charts.

This is Wizkid putting young and talented Afro-beat acts on, exposing them to international collaborations.

Buju of course didn’t disappoint on “Mood“. Nice Jam with good replay value I must say.
